Borneo, mid-19th century. A wild, untamed paradise, once home to the Dayak tribes, is now gripped by the iron fist of British colonial power. Into these waters sails Sandokan, the proud and indomitable pirate captain, with his loyal companion Yanez and his crew of outlaws. He is only passing through – until an ambush at sea leaves his ship destroyed and washes him ashore on Labuan, trapped in enemy territory.
